nanite9 This game is at its best when it is revealing weird and wonderful new locations for you to explore, and that experience would not be anywhere near complete without this soundtrack. Easily my favorite part of some areas, especially with the little flute players adding an extra layer to the music wherever they happen to be hiding.

Speaking of which, is there a version of “City of Hope” with the onop’s flute track included in it anywhere? I miss him so much ): Favorite track: The Hidden Village.

Matthew Harnage The orchestration is fantastic, the overall sound pallet is very beautiful and warm too!

Loved the way A Warrior Awakens develops, and it just nails the energy of growing/awakening so much! Favorite track: A Warrior Awakens.

Blue Fire is a third-person action adventure game with a big focus on 3D platforming and exploration. The game takes place in Penumbra, a perished world of caves and tunnels carved by the Goddess in a floating land.

Working on the music for Blue Fire was an incredible adventure, discovering all of it's characters, scenarios and stories that inspired all the melodic themes and the music development gived me an amazing experience together with Robi's Team.

I am also honored to have the chance to work with so amazingly talented colleages and friends for this soundtrack.

"Wonderfully ethereal while also not shying away from full bodied action writing, Blue Fire is a pure delight for both fantasy and video game score fans alike. Throughout the album Esquivel proves his capabilities as a young composer to keep an eye on with excellent use of thematic writing in the Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy) tradition of simple yet memorable melodies as well as creativity in orchestrations despite limited resources. In the end, Blue Fire is yet another example of the solid work being done for video games, both Indie and mainstream."
